Today we have to pay King George for sugar because he needs money for the war. It's going to be hard for us to pay up. We can ask our parents for money but they'll probably say no. No sugar for us. If there's no sugar for us the tea will taste gross.
We are sad because we also have to pay extra for the cookies. We feel angry because we don't want to pay King George. It is frustrating that the King is forcing us to pay for the sweets we enjoy every single day.
BOOOOOOO! King George actually did us as a country a favor by taxing us! I just went to Washington D.C. and saw all of the amazing things that have been created because we are a free country. Just remember that the British are nice people now!
ReplyDeleteFrom the land of Turkey we drink tea all day everyday. I can't imagine having to give up sugar in my tea. If I have to drink it all day, I must enjoy its sweetness! But...Treana is right, we must remember how lucky we are now for the freedoms we had to fight for! Try to keep a positive mindset and remember to appreciate those little things we are lucky for everyday.
